MOVIES
To date, Fernando Valdes has Production Designed over 54 movies and in total worked on over 100. Various positions include Art Director, Interior Designer,
On-Set Dresser and Construction Coordinator among a myriad of others.
He has had the privilege of Production Designing for world renowned Movie Director Larry Clark on his movie "Marfa Girl" which won BEST PICTURE (the Golden Marc'Aurelio Award) at the prestigious Rome International Film Festival.
In October, horror thriller "The Retaliators" Production Designed by Fernando Valdes opened ScreamFest at the TCL Chinese Theater (formerly Manns Graumans Chinese Theaters) having made its world Premiere at FrightFest in London one month earlier.
In addition, he also Production Designed Season 3 of "East Los High" in which the show received 3 Daytime Emmy nominations. Other projects have appeared on Lifetime, Hallmark, Harpo Films, Hybrid, Chiller Films, the Syfy Cable Channel and others.
MUSIC VIDEOS
The Music Videos profiled on the next link, represent a wide variety of settings and styles. They range from fire and ice, to soft and abrasive spanning the primitive to the hi-tech.
COMMERCIALS
Various commercials are presented by making this selection. They range from consumer products such as the Mercedes-Benz "E" Class to health focused PSA's.
As a Production Designer, Fernando has worked as a 3D Set Designer using Sketchup, Blender and Unreal Engine. Other experience positions include Construction Coordinator, Construction Supervisor and Lead Carpenter positions. Examples of some of those builds include - the Interior of a home with staircase and landing (for the first Sharknado), Interior of a 727 airplane (with coach, first class and galley, Cave with 16ft high walls and 35ft radius, A Residential Home (as a standing set for "Dual Visions Stages") and a Prison Block (copy of Lancaster Prison).
